Which wage is the award based on?

Frequently asked questions
Do allowances count toward the end-of-service award in Kuwait?
It depends on the law: in Kuwait the wage basis is "the last wage — basic plus regular allowances". See "Which wage is the award based on?" above for details.
Is the award lower if I resign?
Yes. In Kuwait the law applies reduced rates to resignation depending on length of service — choose "Resignation" in the calculator and the statutory rates are applied automatically and shown in the breakdown.
When and how is the award paid?
On termination the worker also gets a cash offset for all unused annual leave (Article 73). Debts/loans owed to the employer are deducted from the benefit.
